Plus, we’re giving away a pair of tickets to see Dave Sampson & Daniel James McFadyen tomorrow at The Shore Club, we’ve got some killer new music from Elyse Aeryn, Moira & Claire and others, and your full markets and events guide for the weekend.
Let's dig in 👇
Everything you need for SailGP weekend The foiling cats hit the harbour Saturday and Sunday. Here is where to watch, free and premium, plus where the party goes when the boats dock. The Canada Sail Grand Prix returns this Saturday and Sunday (June 20 + 21), with Canada's NorthStar team racing eleven rivals across the harbour. The 2024 race sold out in 12 minutes. Local pride in the fleet: Brad Boutilier's East River Shipyard put in roughly 3,500 hours getting three F50 catamarans race-ready after a New York collision last month. Watch it free No ticket required. The shoreline and the watch parties get you right on the action.
Get closer to the course Grandstand and Georges Island tickets get you closest to the course. Saturday grandstands are sold out, but Sunday seats remain, plus Georges Island viewing with a ferry from Cable Wharf and picnic packs.
After the racing: the Argyle Street Shore Party When the boats dock, the Argyle Street Shore Party takes over downtown: three free zones, a Red Bull DJ stage and free World Cup viewing at Canada Soccer House (1600 Grafton). Friday and Saturday 6 to 10:30, Sunday 6 to 10.
