š·Obladee's battle, Braille Nails + this week's top events

Hey Halifax!

Letās dig in!
š·Ā Obladeeās Lease Abruptly Terminated
After two years fighting scaffolding that nearly killed their business, Obladee finally got the Tramway Building to begin repairs on January 12th.
Now their new landlord, Starfish Properties, is using those same repairs to terminate their lease - effective January 31st. Yes, two days from now.
Emergency court hearing is today. Read their full statement on Instagram ā
Visit them this week. Share their story. Let Starfish Properties know what you think.

We caught Baby Nova open for Charlotte Cardin in Picton, Ontario back in September. This song, co-written with fellow Nova Scotians Dylan & Jodi Guthro and Carleton Stone, got a mid-song ovation from a packed room that was hearing it (and her) for the first time. Itās that good, and itās already racked up half a million Spotify streams in itās first two weeks of release.
I wrote this project trying to get out of a bad situation in life and I hope that it can help (even if in the smallest way) to do the same for other people.
āDodgeā is the only track I put on the record that I didnāt write this year, but that I wrote almost 7 years ago and itās about how much hard work I knew it would take to get out of where I was. The fact that itās only now seeing the light of day speaks to how real that song was. I truly lived every single word on this album and tried to be as honest as I could be with my story, the good, bad, ugly and the naughty ;).
