Hey Halifax!

We’ve got 4 top picks for you this weekend, an amazing song of the week from Amelie Sampson, and a ton of event listings to fill up your calendar for the rest of the week ahead. Let’d dig in:

1️⃣ Rich Aucoin is playing the Shore Club this weekend, and it’s a BIG DEAL. This is the last ever Rich Aucoin parachute party in NS, as he is set to retire this show and move into a new phase of his music career. We’re excited to see what comes next, but if you haven’t experienced a Rich Aucoin show, you need to go.

2️⃣ Lebanese Festival is back this weekend from Friday-Sunday. Head down for some delicious food, live music & dance, and tons of kids activities. Admission is free and this year the event is supporting the work of the amazing Brigadoon Village.

3️⃣ Creed is hitting the hill this Saturday with Daughtry. Tickets are still available if you’re in need of a dose of 2000s nostalgia.

4️⃣ Halifax Fringe Festival kicked off yesterday and runs through September 7 with over 60 shows to check out. Head over to their website and find something interesting to add to your schedule this week.

⭐️ Song of the Week

Amelie is the mega-talented 21-year-old daughter of Cape Breton legend Gordie Sampson. She released her debut single Houdini back in March, and we had a chance to see her play live at this summer’s Red Farm Field Trip in Sydney. She sounds as incredible live as she does on record, and we are super excited to watch her star rise. Check out all 3 of her singles at the link below and thank us later.
