📣 Big Festival Announcements: The Killers, Alvvays, and more coming to Halifax!
Halifax Music Fest just dropped a massive announcement: The Killers will headline, supported by Canadian indie favourites Alvvays (featuring Cape Breton-born Molly Rankin), Lights, and Said The Whale. Meanwhile, Halifax Jazz Fest revealed that another Cape Breton talent, Goldie Boutilier—who’s having a serious moment—will join The Decemberists on July 18. And if that wasn’t enough, Death From Above 1979 just announced an August 1 show at The Shore Club. Summer 2025 is looking stacked!
🍸 Hali’s Favourite Cocktail Event Returns Next Month.
On April 2, the Lighthouse Art Centre hosts Imbibe, Halifax’s favourite cocktail celebration. Sample incredible craft cocktails from the city’s best bartenders, enjoy tasty snacks, and vibe to music from a live DJ. It’s the perfect way to discover your new favourite local drink. Tickets and special hotel packages are available—grab them soon!
⭐️ Song of the Week
You heard it here first: BABY NOVA is Halifax’s next global indie pop star in the making. Her haunting vocals and vivid songwriting give us Lana Del Rey vibes, blending dark, cinematic storytelling with catchy alt-pop energy. Her latest single, “Too Pretty For Buffalo,” is our Song of the Week, already surpassing 400,000 streams on Spotify in its first week alone. If you’re not already paying attention, it’s time to start.
