November 16 • 4-7PM • The Marquee

The country's best curling teams are competing in Halifax this month to determine who represents Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The city will be cheering on Halifax's own Christina Black and her team as they fight for that spot.

And these events are legitimate PARTIES. Beyond the world-class competition, The Patch at the Halifax Convention Centre will have free entertainment all week including Rankin MacInnis, Dave Sampson, Taylor Jensen, Andre Pettipas, Luke Levy, The Mellotones, Moira & Claire, Maximum Overdrive and more. Single-draw tickets start at $25.

See the full entertainment schedule here.

We’ll be giving away tickets over the next week so stay tuned to your inbox and our Instagram!

Usually we choose a new local tune, but today we’re taking you back to Jon Bryant’s 2019 album Cult Classic, released after his short time within NXIVM (the Hollywood sex cult 🤯).

Jon recently moved home to Halifax with his wife Bree and their newborn baby. With a cool 14 million Spotify streams, At Home is an incredible indie-folk song and the perfect introduction to his insanely deep and impressive catalogue. Honestly, just press play and see where an hour or two with this man takes you.

You can catch Jon live November 27 at his 'Maritime Mistletoe’ show alongside Brett Matthews, Julia Cunningham, and Alexander Anderson at The Sanctuary Arts Centre.
