Halifax Job Uno was behind that bar, and I put in 7 great years slinging drinks — plus a few years of Ceilidhs. Met some of my favourite people in the world there, and I still love going back. Plus, family first.

Rankin MacInnis knows how to throw a party. His Winter Warmers series has become the hottest ticket in town — The Broken Reeds hold it down as the house band, with a rotating cast of incredible guest musicians. A former bartender with seven years behind the bar at Obladee, Rankin knows Halifax's music and hospitality scene from the inside out.
If my life was ever reduced to a TV show set and one bar, it would be The Local. The staff, the music, the wood and decor are all a part of me now.
