Longest running femme comic in the game! She is Comedy Mama Bear - headliner, takes no shit, professional as hell, has opened for Mae Martin, and her jokes about motherhood will hurt your face from laughing so much.
She hosts her own comedy show every Wednesday night at Bearlys!
(And if you’re lucky, will perform at karaoke after)
Ok how much space do we have for this person??? Clare Belford is Queen of Halifax Comedy. Not only is she CSA-nominated for This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Winnipeg Comedy Festival, she’s appeared on Just For Laughs, CBCs The Debaters, and has her own comedy album, “The Entire Cabbage.”
When she’s not doing all that, she is dedicating her spare time to guide and develop our female and queer comedy scene- THATS some GOAT-ass shit right there.
Halifax’s best alt comedy femme comic! She wows crowds with her monochrome, guitar, notebook drawings, and projected cartoons!
Her comedy song “Who’s Eatin Beans on The Highway” is equally the funniest and catchiest tune you’ll ever hear. She runs her own show at Trident Cafe once a month AND has her own television show “Nature’s Cool!” on Bell Fibe1.
Does anyone do more than Abhishek? With his company, Good Fun Entertainment, Abhishek produces and hosts all kinds of comedy events - you name it, he does it, and all over the province! A two time finalist of the Hubcap Open Mic Contest, his comedy is fresh, grindr-forward, and incredibly charming.
A true Halifax queer comedy icon, Truly Am has been performing in this city for a decade. An improviser, artist, and literal celebrity of the Halifax Fringe Festival, they also produce and host their own variety talk show, Werk Night. Their jokes are deliciously outside of the box and you’ll still be smiling long after their set.
Roz came onto the scene and kicked the friggin door down! Already a co-producer and headliner, she is so quick, so witty, and her jokes about transitioning are so effing funny even the cis guys will be laughing their heads off. Keep your eyes on this one - Roz is GOING PLACES
