Mooseheads fall to Foreurs in home loss

Val-d'Or jumped out early and Halifax couldn't recover in a 5-2 loss at Scotiabank Centre on Sunday. The Foreurs struck first and built their lead methodically, with the Mooseheads managing just enough offense to stay within reach but never threatening to tie it. The home team's third straight defeat to Val-d'Or this season underscores a troubling pattern: the Herd have now lost both meetings with the Foreurs and sit winless in the season series.
