Hey Halifax!

There’s a ton to do this weekend in Halifax with the Buskers kicking off, Natal Day festivities, and a ton of live music as always. We’re most excited for a new downtown Hali music festival that just dropped though - let’s dive in!

New Downtown Music Fest Announced

From Day 2 Dusk was announced last week, and they are bringing a killer local lineup to Maxwell’s Courtyard August 16-17. Announced so far are headliners Ria Mae, Quake Matthews + Kayo, Neon Dreams with support from Taylor Jensen, Basyl, and Chasing Luma.

Maxwell’s Courtyard is an amazing space and we’re pumped to see it being utilized more this summer. Tickets are very limited for these shows, so scoop yours up now!

Natal Day Festivities

There are tons of fun, free Natal Day events happening this weekend. Here are the highlights:

The Buskers Have Arrived

The Halifax Busker Festival is in full swing in downtown Halifax and runs until August 4. Check out the website for more info on performers and schedule, and be sure to head over to the fair by East Coast Amusements at Alderney Landing for some rides and carnival games!

⭐️ Song of the Week

chasing luma is a brand new project from Halifax musician and producer Luke MacDonald. His debut EP “lights, camera, action” is out August 22 and our song of the week is his latest single “trainwreck”. This is really excellent electronic indie-pop music that’s got is very excited for the EP.
