

One of our most under-rated songwriters and performers, Ty Messick, with friends including Pictou County singing legend Virgil Muir and some of the best players in the city - because they're so damned good - will return to The Carleton again on Saturday, May 16th. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are only $12.50 + HST. Their sets will include Ty’s original music from his album releases as well as covering some wicked tunes (ones that you won't hear anywhere else). It's a Saturday night but we do encourage you to listen to this excellent band. Get there early to hear Ty's brilliant original material. Ty Messsick was born in Philadelphia, P.A in 1979, soaked up a lifetime of Philly K-Rock and campus WXPN radio and then moved to St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia, at 13 years old. At 19, Tyler encountered Joel Plaskett playing Down at the Khyber in Hell’s Kitchen and was given a roadmap to East Coast rock ‘n roll. Tyler is also known by his stage name, Museum Pieces. His original songwriting became public knowledge in 2003, when his first album, Grain Sales of 1840 was nominated for an ECMA. He has since released 6 full…
