Ty Messsick was born in Philadelphia, P.A in 1979, soaked up a lifetime of Philly K-Rock and campus WXPN radio and then moved to St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia, at 13 years old. At 19, Tyler encountered Joel Plaskett playing Down at the Khyber in Hell’s Kitchen and was given a roadmap to East Coast rock ‘n roll. Tyler is also known by his stage name, Museum Pieces. His original songwriting became public knowledge in 2003, when his first album, Grain Sales of 1840 was nominated for an ECMA.
